University of Sydney researchers Amanda Shapiro, Jacqueline Norris and Karina Bosward are investigating the potential role companion animals may play in transmitting Coxiella burnetii to humans and would love to hear from veterinary people who have had or are suspected of getting Q-fever from cats or dogs. Mimi Dona's winning film clip demonstrating the correct handling and restraint of a green tree frog – is the first in a series of superb videos demonstrating wildlife restraint, produced in collaboration with Dr Michael Pyne (Currumbin Wildlife Hospital) and Lincoln Williams (Fotomedia). The videos complement a series of concise, informative and illustrated flash cards, published as C&T articles which will be available here after publication.
