Dr Aine Seavers writes: No one knows what is wrong with this poor dog! This flinching behaviour is intermittent: that is, it occurs about every two months or so and is not related to just eating but can occur when the dog is walking or exercising. It lasts for an average of ten minutes but the worst occurrence lasted for half an hour. The worst occurrence caused such severe spasms that the dog was literally thrown and ended up "face planted" on the ground. We are very interested in knowing your first thoughts when you view this video, as like brainstorming, often the first unconsidered or ‘gut feeling’ ideas are the most relevant. Please click on the email address aines@bigpond.com so that you can respond immediately after you have viewed this video and send us a few lines (or more if you like!) as to what you think could be wrong. All contributions gladly accepted. We want to help this dog and to do that we need to harness our collective veterinary intelligence. Please do not be shy about your diagnosis - nothing is silly, anything is possible.
