Events Policies

Registration information

Please read carefully before registration.

REGISTRATION

To register for a CVE event it is necessary to complete the registration form and pay the event fee. You are able to register up to the commencement of the program, subject to availability. Registration can be made in person, by fax, email, post or online through our secure website.

How to register

  • register online or complete the registration form and post, fax, email or hand deliver it with cheque, money order or credit card details: no cash payments accepted
  • a position in an event cannot be reserved unless the CVE receives full payment
  • registration is secured at the time of the receipt of the fee providing there are positions available in the selected event
  • confirmation of registration should be received within two weeks of submission.

Event fees

Refer to the event descriptions for costs of particular events.

Special discounts

A 10% discount is available up to commencement of the event if:

  • you have participated in one other CVE event (or Distance Education course) in the last 12 months
  • you must provide proof of status on the registration form
  • pay for the first two attendees at a CVE event, and any additional attendees thereafter will receive 10% off the applicable fee (i.e. Member or Non member rate); must be Member in own right to receive Member discount
  • wet workshops excluded
  • discounts are non-transferrable to other people

Discount for full time students

if you are a current full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student, you are entitled to the student rate.

Refunds

  • you may request to withdraw from:
    • an event: up to 5 working days prior to the commencement of an event
    • a workshop: up to 10 working days prior to the commencement of a workshop; you cannot receive a refund if you withdraw after this time
  • requests for refunds must be made in writing to CVE Event Registrations
  • you will be charged a $50 administration fee if you cancel your registration

Transfers

  • you may request to transfer from an event up to the commencement of an event
  • requests for transfers must be made in writing to CVE Event Registrations
  • you will be charged a $50 administrative fee if you transfer your event selection

Absences

There are no refunds or transfers if you miss an event. The Centre for Veterinary Education cannot accept responsibility for charges in your personal or work circumstances.

Event cancellation

Payment of fees does not guarantee enrolment in an event. The Centre for Veterinary Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event due to insufficient registrations. In this case, you will receive a full refund or credit transfer note. The Centre for Veterinary Education reserves the right to amend any event, schedule, location or tutor listed in the brochure before or during the event.

Privacy

The information supplied to the Centre for Veterinary Education is required to manage your enrolment and participation. The Centre for Veterinary Education will also use the information to notify you of future events. No personal information will be disclosed outside the Centre for Veterinary Education without your expressed consent, except where required by law.
