IVAS Acupuncture Course

Started January 24
Geelong, Victoria
Course organiser: Chris Robinson

The Acupuncture Group (AVAG) will be running another IVAS Acupuncture Course in 2010.

This course, the seventh since 1991, teaches from the basics of veterinary acupuncture right through to fully qualified status. You will be using it in your practice from the end of the first session.

The course is held in Geelong, Victoria and consists of three, six day, full time residential sessions. These will be held in January, June and September 2010 and each runs from Sunday to Friday. The dates are January 24 to 29, June 20 to 25 and September 19 to 24.

The days consist of lectures and two hours of practicals where you will be learning on live animals. The main concentration is on equine and canine acupuncture, but other species are covered and there is a half day elective specifically on cattle.

Some extra work is required between the sessions but this should amount to only about three hours per week.

Acupuncture is a fascinating complement to conventional practice and has a happy knack of being particularly useful on those conditions where our usual treatments are less successful. Traditional Chinese medicine is a totally different concept of disease and treatment and this course will broaden and freshen your mind and attitudes.

Enrolments have closed for 2010 but information is re available from Chris Robinson, course organiser, at crob@ava.com.au or by phoning 0419 170 981.
