This course will assist you to develop a thorough understanding of equine dental diseases, their diagnosis and treatments. Hopefully it will make equine dentistry more rewarding in terms of outcomes for the patient as well as financially for you. It certainly will be less physically demanding.

Dr Gary WilsonAssociate Professor Gary Wilson started his veterinary career in Darwin and it was there that he developed his interest in horse work. Following this, he moved to Perth where he was a partner in an equine practice from 1979 to 1985. From 1985 to 1995 he was the principal of a mixed practice in Gympie, Queensland.

Since 1995, Gary has operated a veterinary dental referral practice in Brisbane and is the consultant in veterinary dentistry to the University of Queensland School of Veterinary Science. He currently gives lectures and tutorials to veterinary students in equine dentistry. He is an adjunct associate professor in the School of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland. Gary is the author of the Post Graduate Foundation textbook ‘Equine Dentistry’, published in 2000 and was the inaugural chairman of the AEVA Standing Committee in equine dentistry. This course will assist you to develop a thorough understanding of equine dental diseases, their diagnosis and treatments. It will make equine dentistry more rewarding in terms of the outcome for the patient as well as financially for you.
