VetMed Resource and the accompanying Animal Health and Production Compendium are part of CABI, considered to be the most comprehensive collection of veterinary bibliographic information containing a wealth of veterinary information resources including Veterinary Bulletin, Index Vet, VETCD, and CAB Abstracts, which have been used in veterinary schools throughout the world for more than 70 years.
This member-benefit is accessible through your ordinary CVE member website login and provides:
- a database with over one million abstracts from more than 3000 journals, books, and conference proceedings
- comprehensive coverage of all aspects of veterinary medicine
- links to many full text papers for many references (including major North American, and international conferences)
- peer-reviewed review articles
- news items, calendar of events, feature articles
- the Animal Health and Production Compendium, an interactive multimedia encyclopaedia with comprehensive coverage of livestock and poultry including over 800 datasheets and more than 2000 photographs
- glossary with more than 60,000 terms
- international drugs database
- prepared searches to get the best results in retrieving database information

There are at present more than 31,000 full text records included in VetMed Resource, and it is possible to link to many others that are available on the web. To limit the search results to full text records only you can put in the search terms, run the search, and then click on ‘Refine Results – Full Text’ on the left hand side of the screen.
