Learning Outcomes

By successfully completing this course, you will:

  • Understand the mechanisms underlying the 4 different hypersensitivity reactions. 
  • Be able to explain the mechanisms of action of common immunosuppressive and immunomodulatory drugs used in veterinary medicine.
  • Understand the criteria for the diagnosis of IMHA based on the 2019 ACVIM consensus statement.
  • Have an increased clinical index of suspicion for canine IMPA 5. List the differentials for thrombocytopaenia.
