By successfully completing this course, you will:

  • Develop a diagnostic approach to kidney disease, including differentiating between acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease and understanding newer diagnostic tests for kidney disease
  • Understand management of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease in dogs and cats
  • Better understand important causes of kidney disease, including ureteral obstruction in cats and leptospirosis in dogs
  • Understand updated recommendations for management of urinary tract infections in dogs and cats
