Learning Outcomes

By successfully completing this course, you will:

  • Understand the varying presentations of Cushing’s disease and grasping comprehension around alternative disease processes that may present similar to Cushing’s disease 
  • Understand the evolving world of hyperadrenocorticism in dogs and the diagnostic and treatment options at a clinician’s disposal to manage this disease 
  • Understand adrenal anatomy, pathology and disease including the ability to ultrasound the adrenal glands AND determine the significance of an adrenal gland mass/nodule 
  • Understand how to approach and manage a cat with hyperadrenocorticism

  1. PU/PD, weight gain, panting, hepatomegaly, polyphagia…. Is it Cushing’s or something else? 
  2. Hyperadrenocorticism in dogs: diagnosis and presentation 
  3. Hyperadrenocorticism in dogs: treatment and monitoring
