Aggression - Why does it happen? Aggression can be a normal behaviour but can also indicate underlying pathology, so recognising when aggression is a sign of a problem is an important clinical skill. Understanding when aggression is expected and when it indicates a health concern is necessary for you to provide appropriate health care for your patients.
Animals exhibiting aggression also pose a safety risk to veterinary staff. Your response to aggressive behaviour affects your own safety and the safety of other veterinary staff. Injuries can be avoided when veterinarians and staff are appropriately educated about what to do when confronted with an aggressive animal.
In this webinar, normal versus abnormal aggression will be discussed, and you will learn initial management recommendations for the aggressive animal. |
