Robert Kinobe
BVM (Hon), PhD, MANZCVSc, GCE
Robert attained a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery with Honours at Makerere University (1996), following which he worked as a veterinarian as well as a junior academic staff at the same university for 2.5 years. In 2004, Robert completed a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Queensland and this was followed a postdoctoral research fellowship (2004-2008), with the Canadian Institute of Health at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Queens University in Ontario Canada. In 2008, Robert returned to Australia and was appointed to a teaching and research role at James Cook University where he has taught veterinary pharmacology and aspects of toxicology in the College of Public Health, Medical & Veterinary Sciences for the last 15 years. While Robert is not in clinical practice presently, he shares a passion for clinical pharmacology and toxicology and, undergraduate as well as postgraduate teaching. Robert is a qualified member with active involvement in the Veterinary Pharmacology Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
