I started the DVM at Sydney University in 2017 after 6 years in wildlife research with academic and government institutions. As I found out during the first week of orientation, studying at Sydney has the advantage of the relationship with the CVE. Since 2017 I have discovered that student membership is an absolute gem as it allows access to a multitude of resources that can help with study and assignments (or more importantly - general interest!). I look forward to reading the quarterly C&T publication as it sheds light on how real-life vets ‘work’ – things you don’t read in textbooks. My goal as CVE ambassador is to promote CVE membership to my peers and to demonstrate how it will not only supplement DVM studies, but also be a partner in continuing Veterinary Education after graduation.
