Katie graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2009 and spent 5 years in small animal general practice. She was awarded the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2014. Katie completed a rotating internship at Northwest Veterinary Specialists in 2015 and an ECVIM Small Animal Medicine Senior Clinical Training Scholarship in June 2018 at the University of Cambridge. Katie became a European Specialist in Veterinary Internal Medicine in March. 2019 and currently works as a clinician and affiliated lecturer in medicine at the University of Cambridge. Her main interests are feline medicine, endocrinology, and infectious diseases. She has 1 young Domestic Long-Haired cat called Albie.
