Dr David Hughes is a general practitioner veterinarian with over ten years of experience and a passion for all things feline medicine and surgery. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2011 he entered private practice in Sydney’s Inner West at Concord Veterinary Hospital. Concord Veterinary Hospital has a dedicated and steadfast association with the Cat Protection Society of NSW providing David and his team with a varied and high feline caseload. Through David’s groundbreaking work in 2020 in the treatment of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), previously known to be a fatal disease, he has become a recognised expert in the diagnosis and treatment of FIP with a special interest in the application of current knowledge into a clinical setting. In his spare time David can normally be found chasing around his 5-year-old son or 2-year-old Australian Shephard “Piper”.
