Mark Billson

Mark Billson graduated from the University of Sydney in 1990. He developed an interest in eyes early in his career that led to research into a bacterial eye disease in cattle and in 1996 Mark was awarded his PhD. Mark moved to the University of Glasgow to undertake clinical training in Veterinary Ophthalmology and obtained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 1999. After taking up a post as Lecturer in Veterinary Ophthalmology at the University of Glasgow, he returned to Australia in 2003 where he works in private referral practice at SASH. Mark is a recognised specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology. He is interested in all aspects of ophthalmology including management of glaucoma and surgical removal of cataracts and has a keen interest in ocular pathology.
