Dr Renea Barrett has worked at Animal Diabetes Australia since 2021. Renea’s passion for diabetes and endocrinology was founded when she did the CVE Time Online Masterclass in Management of Diabetes in Dogs and Cats, which she enrolled in because she felt poorly equipped to treat diabetes as a new graduate vet. This passion was consolidated by clinical training at Animal Diabetes Australia supervised by Dr Linda Fleeman, and by attaining ANZCVS Membership in Small Animal Medicine. Renea now especially enjoys applying her understanding of the pathophysiology of diabetes and insulin resistance to make clinical decisions that improve the quality of lives of her patients and their owners.
