Mathieu Raillard

Mathieu graduated as a Veterinarian from the University of Bologna in 2010 after an Erasmus training in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a DVM thesis in Nantes. He completed a rotating internship at the‘Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons Alfort’, an anaesthesia internship at ‘ONIRIS-Nantes’, a residency program at the University of Bristol and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2016. He spent 4 years at the University of Bern working as a senior clinician and spending several months as a veterinary anaesthetist at the Experimental Surgery Institute (ESI) of the Department for BioMedical Research (DBMR). He worked as a visiting professor at Saint George’s University in early 2019 and as a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Sydney between June 2019 and June 2020. Mathieu is currently working towards his PhD on respiratory mechanics in anaesthetized dogs and is an associate Editor of the Journal of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
