Chris Burrows

Chris is a registered veterinary nurse with 12 years’ experience working in general practice, specialist, university and research settings. Chris has spent the last 6 years of his career dedicated to anaesthesia and analgesia spending four years working in the anaesthesia department at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney before moving to his current role supporting advanced cardiovascular research. Chris holds a diploma in surgical nursing and is a double boarded Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in both small animal and laboratory animal anaesthesia and analgesia. Chris enjoys teaching and regularly provides in-house training to vets and nurses on anaesthesia and analgesia topics.

Chris is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia through the Royal (Dick) Veterinary School at the University of Edinburgh while working full time in a research setting.
