Guy Yates is a Melbourne-based specialist small animal surgeon and consultant surgeon at the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists who maintains active interests in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Guy has conducted clinical research in soft tissue reconstructive and minimally invasive surgery, and has current international orthopaedic collaborations. He is strongly focused on optimising veterinary surgical practices and outcomes through the application of available evidence and a structured approach to continuing education. He is an inaugural partner at the Centre for Animal Referral & Emergency established in Melbourne in 2013, where he continues to work as a specialist surgeon. He is co-tutor of the CVE Surgery DE course with Wing Tip Wong.
