Kaylene Jones graduated from the University of Queensland Veterinary School with honours in 2003. Following graduation, she spent 15 years in general practice, in various positions throughout Australia and the United Kingdom.
With a passion for medical research and in particular, a strong interest in the diagnosis and treatment of dementia, Kaylene made the change from clinical practice in 2018. At this time, she took on a position with the University of Sydney as Senior Research Officer with the Regenerative Neuroscience Group at the Brain and Mind Centre, Sydney Medical School. In this position, Kaylene works as the Veterinary Trial Coordinator on a cutting edge, clinical trial using cell therapy to treat Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD).
