Sam is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) and RCVS/European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology. He is currently Senior Lecturer and Head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Section, which he founded in 2009, at Melbourne University’s Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, after spending 3 years at the University of Pennsylvania’s Veterinary School. His main clinical and research interests are canine epilepsy, brain tumours, and degenerative myelopathy. He is one of three internationally acclaimed tutors in the Clinical Neurology Distance Education course launched by the CVE in 2015. Sam has published widely in the field of neurology, is a regular speaker on the national and international continuing education circuit and is a member of IVETF (International Veterinary Epilepsy Taskforce).
