Emergency Seminar Digital Proceedings
This can be the difference between life and death. The essence of emergency medicine is treating the most life-threatening problems first, with the most vital organ systems (respiratory, cardiovascular, central nervous systems) prioritised. The emergency patient’s status is rapidly changing and frequently requires intensive monitoring and re-evaluation. It is important to anticipate complications and initiate management procedures for early detection, while fundamentally minimising patient risk and not endangering the patient to achieve a diagnosis. There is less tolerance for error in the critical patient.
The CVE’s Emergency Seminar was held in Launceston, Tasmania on Saturday 18 March, 2017, and this is the digital proceedings from this event.
