Misunderstood Mutts! When & How to Prescribe Psychotropics WebinarLIVE!
Behaviour cases can be some of the most challenging and frustrating for GP veterinarians to manage effectively.

Join Dr Sally Nixon, Australia's newest Fellow in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine having recently passed both the ANZCVS and the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists examinations. She is also one of the wonderful tutors for our Behavioural Medicine Distance Education course and will be with us in person in February for our highly anticipated behaviour conference.

Sally has prepared a practical overview of psychotropic medication use in general veterinary practice. The talk will have a focus on addressing the following key questions:

When is it appropriate to medicate and why? The reasons for medicating an animal for its behaviour problem will be described.

Which medication may be helpful for which case? Medication selection for a behaviour case needs to take into account many factors. The justification for medication selection will be discussed.
This webinar also offers a sneak peek into and is a great primer for the Not “Naughty,” Not “Normal” – Behaviour Conference + Masterclass, happening 9–13 February 2026, where you'll dive deeper into behavioural medicine and management strategies.
