Anaesthesia & Analgesia: Fundamentals Distance Education

Anaesthesia & Analgesia: Fundamentals Distance Education

Are you committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and care in veterinary anaesthesia?

Our comprehensive course is designed to enhance your understanding of and confidence with all four phases of anaesthesia: pre-induction, induction, maintenance, and recovery. This course provides participants with an opportunity for refining their knowledge in anaesthesia relevant pharmacology, physiology and pathophysiology. Throughout the course the theory will be put into action using practice cases to help your challenge your understanding in a low risk environment. Ultimately, the course aims to help you advance your understanding of patient monitoring, managing complications, and ultimately, to enable you to enhance the quality and safety of anaesthesia.

This course is the first in our Aneasthesia and Analgesia program and aims to develop or update your understanding of the fundamentals underpinning anaesthetic care. The program then looks to expand your understanding of and ability to deal with the complications associated with compromised patients. Finally, the program takes a deep dive into the special considerations needed when confronted with rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds and reptiles.
